yup ...US Space supremacy....do not give it up.......sure big brother can watch us from above.....BUT he can also watch out enemies....
hmmmm......think unemployment is bad now....imagine if the space industry was abandoned......the trickled down effect of lost jobs would be devastating....
here is a great song paying tribute to space exploration....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BisS5JxeUW0
Definitely keep the program up. A lot of good things have come out of the space program.
I for one couldn't do without velcro...
On a serious note, there is a lot of innovation that has come out of the space program. I thing there is a lot of waste in the program these days, but there are still some incredible solutions being developed - whether we ever put a man on Mars or not...
Absolutely, keep the space program. Not only that, expand it and make it an American effort again instead of the multi-national cluster-f that it has become.
The way I see it, in our history we have found two ways to create rapid advances in technology. Either a war or a space program. A lot less people get killed in a space program and it's a positive source of national pride as well as a way to put the taxpayer's money into the economy that results in real jobs and products.
I agree with clt_capt, the NASA that put us on the moon hasn't existed for a long time, but maybe if NASA wasn't always treated as an afterthought we could get the kind of people that it would take to bring it back.
IE8 says this may be a phishing site....Well, DUH!!!!!!... Stupid jerks can't even spell fishing right.
Definitely think we should keep it going. Lots of interesting developments have come from the program.
