    Posting Pictures

Could someone please tell me the correct way to post a picture on SFC without it being huge and un-viewable in the standard window size? Each time I've tried to make a photo contribution to this site, the picture is uselessly huge. Can anyone help?

i don't know what system you are using but i will assume it is window's . you can re-size your pics by using the "paint" program of windows.. first open up "paint" --then at the top left hit "edit" then choose "paste from" and find your intended photo...once the photo is in "paint" hit ctrl. and W simultaneously ..this will bring up a box "stretch and skew" it will say 100% in the boxes... type in 50% ,hit "ok"--now your pic is 1/2 as big.. repeat this using any % until you reach the preferred size.... now here is the important part---- you have to bring the borders of paint into your picture or your image will shrink but the overall picture will be the same... (use the little dots, and the arrows) move the dotted lines closer to frame your pic.when done properly you will see your pic in the upper left ,and the rest will be gray..now hit "save".. now you have 2 pics in your file--one big --and one re-sized ...post the re-sized one.. I hope this wasn't too confusing ,but it is really hard to explain in type..

When you make a post that you want to add pictures to, go to the bottom of the page and click on "manage atachments". Then a screen will pop up that has a bunch of buttons down the right side that say "Browse". Click the browse button and it will let you search your computer and find what file your pictures are stored in. After you find your file and click on the picture that you want to add, click save and it will add it to a list in the manage attachments screen. after you have added all the pics that you want to add to the post, click on the "UPLOAD" button and it will add them to the post and automatically resize them to fit the post screen. When they are uploaded to the post, just click the button that you normally click to put your post in the thread. I usually click the "preview post" button first and make sure everything looks right before I click the send post button.

Extreme Angler - Although the process you described above is correct, when you upload photos to the SFC gallery they will be automatically resized. No need to go into paint and fool around with all that stuff. I'd say Box has the process down pat
