He campaigned extensively for Democratic presidential nominee Al Gore in 2000, and he campaigned in Iowa for Democratic Presidential candidate Howard Dean just before the 2004 Iowa caucuses. He endorsed Hillary Clinton for president for the 2008 election cycle.

Whoever knew Archie Bunker would be so prophetic?

And it is properly managed. Among the recipients are 80+ year old WWII veterans, and 70+ year old Korean veterans, and others that have fallen on hard times.
never complained about Joe...was using him as an example.....by him and his oil program does that make him an eligible Teddy replacement...??

or because perhaps his last name is Kennedy..??

either way.....each of the 50 states have their own issues....

i still believe that Teddy was serving his penance trying to atone his sins as does happen in the Catholic Church......he was doing everything he possibly could to erase his past by helping others...so perhaps he was driven and influenced by a higher power....yes he prayed often and had many prayers answered.....cept for the forgiveness of a life he took.

Jesse Helms helped countless people whom he represented regardless of their political affiliation. You will never hear of those deeds.

George W. Bush did more good for this country in terms of protecting us from follow-up terror attacks and we will always be forced to hear how "single-handedly" destroyed the economy
and "ruined our reputation in the eyes of our allies".

Ronald Reagan almost caused WWIII because he was willing to stand up to the soviets.

George H. W. Bush will always be known as "no new taxes".

Republicans and conservatives are so used to being tarred and feathered for no good reason other than they are Republicans and/or conservatives. No matter what they do, they will always be known for the possible bad that could have happened from their "reckless behavior". Liberals are always known for their intentions and not the results of their actions or inactions. Unfortunately for ole' Teddy, all we know is what he did that was rotten as hell.

Look at Jimmy Carter. He was arguably the most ineffective and bumbling President that this country has ever known until our latest occupant of the White House. He is only talked about with reverence for his political negotiating skills. He has no skills. If you call giving everything away to the enemy negotiating, hell, my 5 year old could do that.

Now ole corn squeezins Teddy might have done some good for some folks but his good intentions were always with other people's money. He was viciously partisan and rarely had any desire to reach out to the other side unless they were siding with him completely. He was not a nice person unless you had something that could benefit him (such as a vote or contribution). Washington and this country is better off without him and he is now answering to our Holy Father for all of his sins and indiscretions. His judgment will be what it is and it out of our hands. He has been composing bad legislation all of his life, let him begin decomposing.

The Dems changed the succession process several years ago to block Romney from potentially appointing a Republican senator in the event Kerry won the Presidency.

politicians in Mass are embarrassing.
