Mine is a Schrade Uncle Henry "Senior Rancher" # 885UH. I've had it for 35 years.
My Dad carried a yellow Case; he could sharpen it like a razor--no telling how many "mountain oysters" he collected with that little knife!![]()

I'm a big fan of the Kershaw "Ken Onion" line. I've got several different sizes and finishes and love them all.
Are you kidding me?When I was a boy scout I did. That was in the 60's. Today, I think driving around with a shotgun in your pickup on the rear window would get less notice than the metal detector your bound to walk past. Dont be within 500 ft of a school.
Life in prison.

Most states allow possesion of pocket knives with a blade less than the span of your palm. Usually this translates to between 2.5-3.5 inches depending on state.
Good luck explaining the law to a judge.Im going back on october 21st to explain my ex wife doesnt have a right to my financial information. I have been divorced 21 years. If he lectures me, Im going nuts! I wouldnt carry a knife past my front door, and there better be a fillet in the oven.
Chuck, sorry you lost your knife, and I'm sorry because I am laughing my ass off thinking about it flying out of your pocket, how far did it go anyway?
I've had a Benchmade pocket knife for over 5 years now, the thing is indestructible, although, not unsinkable. It's super easy to sharpen and holds it's edge for quite a while. Benchmade makes some crazy knives that cost crazy money, but the one I have was like $80, worth it in my opinion. The Kershaw's are good too. I have one that has the "auto open" feature, which is a little scary in your pocket so I wouldn't suggest that particular one.
I love my Kershaw Ken Onion series with the quick open. It has a safety that will prevent it from opening in a pocket. I rarely use it and have not had a problem...yet. once tossing a cast net it caught the clip and I saw the knife go flying with the netlucky and happy to see it still attached to the net when I brought it in.
And American made.
I second Benchmade. I had one for years that was also indestructable. Very simple, and well made. This is the one I had, about $80.00.
One of my other knives went for a ride on the cast net too. Lucky to get that one back, put your knives inside your pocket while catching bait!!
I wear the Spyderco. It grabs my outriggers all the time too! Unless I am surfing I have my knife with me all the time. Love them and thankfully they sell them in San Jose.
