Please help me catch this TIGER!!!

O.k., so I hooked him once, but didn't even stopped the reel, so I am asking the shark pros on this site to give me some hints.

    1. I have an Okuma tg30 and a stout rod.
    2. I have some chum bags that brought him in the first time.
    3. I have stuff to make a rig, but some examples will be appreciated.
    4. No intentions of killing, just landing for some great footage, pictures, and a tall tale to last a while.

    Thanks all for you time.....TODD

How big was he? Those tigers are pretty tough, you may need more than a 30 if hes more than a couple hundred pounds

Deep did a nice sharkin writeup:

He was at least the length of the beam of our boat-8'6" so maybe 9 to 10 ft.
Here is a picture of a tiger from a month earlier in the same area-Gray's Reef.

I am not sure what someting like that would weigh, but I think at least 250lbs right?

A 9'6 tiger would weigh about 600 according to this chart

    http://na.nefsc.noaa.gov/sharks/lw/tiger.html

I'd put away the 30's if that the case

We catch tigers here in Hilton Head,SC in the spring and summer on 30's and 50's w/ 50lb. test fairly easily. The tire reef here is our best spot. We do what we call the food chain. We do this for catch and release since we mostly want the tigers to catch cobia off of.
    1. Catch a spanish mackeral or bluefish.

    2. Use the mackeral or blue to catch a barracuda.

    3. Fillet cuda(fresh cuda....trust me. It's tiger candy) and drop fillet to the bottom with a double hook shark rig.
Keep reel in free spool w/ clicker on. When he bites, count to 20 and lock him up. For some reason we can only hook up anchored, but when we hook up, we just let the anchor line go with a poly ball on it. That way we can just pick it up and tie back off after we catch the tiger.
