LA Playing Hookie isn't that bad!

I just got a call from the in-laws and they told my wife and I they wanted to come for a couple of days and spend some time with their grandson. Well I know my father-in-law all too well and I caught him trying to practice his flipping technique in the pool. I had to tell him to throw this one back because he was too small.

    Practice makes perfect

Well I called my good friend Sean up and told him I wanted some troutskies
so my father-in-law could bring some fish home to Florida. We left at the crack of dawn and made our way out to Breton Sound and fished some of the islands that are still left from Katrina and got on a fast and furious bite. The fish didn't care if you had live shrimp, croakers, or topwater plugs they would crush anything that got in their way. For a good 2 hrs we all throwing topdogs or skitterwalks to the savage trout. I can't remember the last time I had this much fun catching specks. Oh I think that was last week. Here is a pick of Don holding up one of the 75...3 to 4lb trout that after a while we found ourselves saying I need a break. Tight lines!!!!
