KEY COLONY BEACH IS PROBABLY YOUR BEST BEST IN MARATHON VERY GOOD NEIGBOR HOOD, SHORT RUN TO REEF EDGE, GREAT FOR KIDS HAS A BEACH (HARD TO FIND IN THE KEYS) AND A POOL

My daughter found a great house on www.vrbo.com .That site is vacation homes by owner.We were down there for Christmas and it is right Key Colony Beach is a great area and Both boat ramp and dive shop is right there also gas and bait all on the entrance street. It is also very easy to get to the Gulf through Vaca Cut. I hope you have as good a time as we did. The sailfish should also be in 150to 200' of water which is about five miles out. Diving on Sombrero Reef is wonderful and is just a half hour run and is easy to find since it has the highest tower around. get a lobster permit when you buy a license since it only cost $2 more and snorkle around bridges.
