Pin rig for hoos

What size wire should the pin be? And do I just move up a size in crimps?

Use a number #9 stainless or a # 8 piano wire. Use the same crimp you would normally use. 1.0 crimp will work with the 100# leader. The wire will in the middle of the crimp.

I mostly use #10 wire. If the normal crimp is a 1.3 (double barrel), then I would use a 1.6 for the pin.

I have stopped using a pin and wrap behind the gill plates > though the eyes > down though the mouth > wrap around the beak....... i find the Hoo fits better inside islanders etc.
