    Cool Pictures of Brazil

A long time ago Bill Pino (Squidnation) asked me to post pictures of the local beaches and "scenery"... I only have pictures of the beaches and I'm going to post them anyway.

I'll start with pictures of the Mundaú beach, 110 miles from Fortaleza. These photos are from 2005 and aren't good... but I don't care

I only have this crappy picture of the Mundaú River, it seemed to be a great surf fishing spot. If it was closer to Fortaleza I would try to catch some catfish there.

My first time ever surf fishing with a rod and reel. I've tried to surf fish once as a kid using a short fiberglass rod, no reel and a rig similar to what I used to catch tiny freshwater fish with my uncle... including a bobber

Pecém Beach, about 40 miles from Fortaleza.

The picture below is from another day, when I caught my first fish from the surf - Praia do Futuro, Fortaleza ("Future Beach"). Something like 4-5 miles from my apartment.

Lagoinha Beach (Small Lagoon), 90 miles from Fortaleza.
It was a last minute trip and the camera battery run out
I took some nice pictures with my sister in law camera... my wife might have them but she's at the shooting club now.

The name of the beach might come from this "small lagoon", but I'm not sure.

I have non-digital pictures of Lagoinha from years ago, but they are in our office in São Paulo

Other than clothes and my computer I didn't bring much to Fortaleza when I moved 4 years and half ago.

    Thumbs up

I've been to quite a few places in my day, but with all the photos and stories on SFC, I am constantly reminded of how many amazing places I have yet to experience.

    Thanks for sharing Jer.
