More pictures from Porto de Galinhas, Pernambuco, Brazil
The hotel
Life is good
Reef about 1 mile away from the hotel... we were late for the low tide
I tried to walk and went much further than what you see on the picture, but it was not shallow and not safe so I stopped
To the left of the reef
I wonder why my wife was calling me "butterfly"
Pause to work
Reef a few miles from the hotel, it must be great for fishing
You can see the Port of Suape at the background. The shark attacks at the Boa Viagem beach in Recife, Pernambuco started happening after the port was built.
When this fellow started painting the tile with his fingers I was thinking "poor guy", but the final result was very very cool. We bought 2 tiles from him
Pictures taken from a small sailboat, like the ones pictured (jangadas). It was our transportation from the beach to that reef.
Hand feeding the fish
Different place now, a few miles to the south. We get a guide on a "jangada" for a little exploratory trip on the river.
Our guide dives in and comes back to the surface after some time saying "I found one"... a pregnant male sea horse
Here's our guide, Pato (Duck)
Oh, look what he found with his feet! Blue crabs making sweet sweet love
great stuff jer. I have sound of the best food in brazi. On the beach in Canaveirias when the little kids show up on the beach with a coffee can full of hot coals. they would put a block of cheese on a stick and grill it over the hot coals until the outer layer was a perfect golden crisp. all for .25.
