    I had some really great days on marlin and tunas there. Like I said, I released a lot more than killed. Not to mention, 90% of my trips were 4 hour trips.

    Did you run a hose off the side as you were trolling down there? I thought I heard somewhere that some folks down there do that to mimic baitfish in a frenzy. I've always wondered if it was true.

    It is true,but the comm. boats that jig and bait for tunas do it. I never saw a charter boat with it.

    You should've seen when I introduced them boys to grits,Carolina Treet BBQ sauce,and a "real" pig pickin. We're friends for life now.....

    I ran 2 boats. One was a 42 Bertram and the other was a 38 Bertram. Both were pretty ok boats. Nothing like a good carolina boat,but you didn't need one. 300hp Cummins was all the motor you needed. I think I only put the boats on plane once or twice,that's how close it was to the fishing.
