down around Varnamtown I've offen overheard the oldtimers joke about "watching the submarine races"... well come to find out, with no "lovers lane" or town overlook, the oldtimers would take their dates parking at the end of brown's landing road overlooking Lockwood Folly Inlet. I never did here who won the race...
