Pics of refinished fighting chair and rod storage..wintertime projects

Here are a few pics of an old International fighting chair I refinished last winter and rod storage. The chair was in terrible shape when I bought it, stripped everything off and send the metal to be rechromed (expensive). I stripped and refinished the teak and had the upholstry done locally, turned out nice and is the perfect size for my boat. All I need now it to find a spindle that fits the chair and pedestal.

I also made the closet behind the chair into a tackle room, will post some pics of it later when I get it organized..

Nice job on the chair. I like the rod storage as well. It's giving me ideas.

we built a rod holder just like that, except we used PVC pipe for the rods to stand up in. The idea in general is great, since the rods come home with us, makes easy storage

    You are a lucky man.
Your wife lets you bring your tackle into the house.
My question is, how do you get it out without her knowing your going fishing?

    Rob-

VERY NICE! I did the same thing to a Murray Brothers 130# Class vintage (early 80's) chair two seasons ago......chroming alone on this project was $1600 at Hartford Chrome here in CT....
