I swear we had the exact same type of bird in Hudson Canyon this year!

We had 'em in Atlantis and Hudson canyon this year as well......
Yeah those birds are pretty cool. We were offshore with my boat and one of them landed on my girlfriends shoulder. We were all down stairs setting up baits and we heard her scream. We all thought that she got hurt some how so i ran up there to see what happened. She told me that a bird landed on her shoulder and it scared her.It was so funny how it scared her so much the little bird.

i picked up this one a while a go...she chasing my baits and got tangled with the long right....she geve a nice fight though!...afterwards she rested for a little while and then took off!
The little one is a warbler. They migrate to Los Roques off of the coast of Venezuela in the fall of the year for what I have lovingly termed the Great Warbler Orgy. There are huge numbers of them there in OCtober every year. I was told that they summer in New England, I think.
We have those little guys in NC as well. Had one land on my shoulder in the fall while Mackerel fishing one day. It was blowing pretty hard and I guess he needed a rest. We actually fed him sunflower seeds, he chilled on the console for an hour or so and finally flew away. Pretty cool bird, until he shat on my bottom machine.
Here are some pics of our visitor ealier this year.
