Thumbs up PetBuckle Kwik Connect Truck Tether System

I just wanted to share a product that I just found while doing some shopping in the store.

I always see dogs in the back of pick up trucks and you always hear a horror story here and there on how one jumps out. Sadly it appears even though it hurts the dog they never seem to learn the lesson of not jumping out of a moving vehicle.

When I was out in Cali last month I sent a truck going pretty fast with a pretty pup in the back of the truck. I noticed he only could go so far to each side and this was probably the solution they had.

    ..................................................................................
The PetBuckle Truck Tether keeps your dog securely attached and restrained in the back of your truck. The easy-to-use system quickly attaches to the metal loops provided in the bed area of most trucks. Just hook one side, then hook to the other and pull the adjuster tight. Attach your dog with the Kwik-Connect Tether and enjoy a worry free, safe ride.

    Durable Design
Strong, steel core hooks feature polypropylene molding to protect truck's finish and quickly attach to the tie-down points in the bed area of most trucks.

    Easy to Use
Fixed-length Kwik-Connect Tether attaches with just a "push-n-click", providing strength, safety and convenience. Releases web with a push of a button.

    Versatile
Adjustable length truck tether fits all sizes of pick-up trucks.

Includes: Truck Tether, a fixed-length Kwik-Connect Tether, and a convenient storage bag.

    Mary, careful......

Lowtide sees that , well no telling what he thinks. Anyway, I have to say I dont have a dog but I have seen the picture way to many times. Especially during hunting season. Guys driving 70 mph down the road with two dogs in the back of the truck. Saying they jump out is being kind, and dismisses their guilt. I mean the dog is only in the truck up to his knees and these guys are in a hurry. It should be illegal. Great idea for around town perhaps but I still dont think its right for highway which I have seen many times. Better than nothing I guess.
Now, I dont own a dog and would never let one in my home but I wouldnt put one in the back of any pickup without a cap, and a carpet. Try driving around in the back of a truck sometime. At 35 mph its a scary ride. But I agree with your attempt at stopping a tragic death of an innocent unsuspecting animal.

If Toto had one, he wouldnt have bitten the witch.

Trust me when I tell you,

I didnt know that.....but I dont have a dog. I have a cat with my girlfriend and I would never put her in the back of anything.
I think this item is good for around town but, not at 70 mph on rt 55. To do that, is cruel to the animal. Im glad its illegal, thanks.

    Regional Thing,

Load's of dog's ride in the back of pick-up's down here. I can't remember the last time I've heard of one "bailing". Shadow ride's up front with me for the most part, or on the back of my 3 wheeler. I guess the arguement could be made that it's unsafe for one to ride up front. As they aren't harnessed and could block your view, could bark and distract you, could jump out the window, etc........ If you feel it's necessary to tie your pooch in the back of the truck, then please do so. But don't pass a "law" sayin' that I have to aswell. I've got 3 big dog's and 7 cat's in the house, I'm sure that's against the law somewhere too! Frank

I've seen two dogs jump out of trucks in my lifetime, German Shepard at 60 mph and A lab at 45 mph getting onto interstate 85. Niether was A pretty sight. My dog rides up front unless the camper shell is on.
