How about Thermz? I have the pelagics also and like them both. However I had some dye bleeding problems with the red pelagics I have. No problems with thermz, but they could stand some more pockets.

I use my the same boardshorts for surfing that i do fishing, all the new fabrics they have out now dry really quickly.but in all reality anything is better than those daisy duke aftco shorts those things are terrible.

I got my first pair of Pelagics two years ago on vacation, I liked them so much last year we started carrying them. I haven't seen any problems with colors running or fading, Sea Draggin, I would contact them there a pretty standup company, maybe a problem with the batch yours came from. Personally I think their comfortable and the pliers sheath has come in handy, with other shorts I always wore a belt to hold my pliers. Another line I've been wondering about is Old Harbor Outfitters, anyone have their stuff, and if so ,what do you think??
Phile10, if I can help you out let me know.

It was dry and awsome. they are a new company but man due they make a great product...... the shorts are also great they have 2 styles one with a fighting belt built right in. the other is a board short...... everyone should take a look at there new product line.....

the only problem i had with pelagic shorts is the metal eye sockets popping out. I bought some pescador product when i was in fla, interested to see how they work out.

I second the endorsement of Fishworks products. I have several of their shorts and shirts and really enjoy them. The Clipperton and Walkshorts are shorter than many of the boardshorts out there (including Pelagic) which I like. I have a few Pelagic shorts also which are comfortable but a bit long on me. I'm thinking about trying out the Fishworks Angler Shorts with the internal removable rod butt pad on the upper thigh.
