    PC or MAC?

Sorry if this is an old topic.

Ok all you video gurus. I'm thinking about getting another computer to make and edit videos on. I have been hearing a lot of advertising for how easy the MACs are to use for this type of stuff. Any thoughts/opinions on what to get and how to set it up?

    Thanks!

If you're going to be buying one or the other, and the purpose is photo and video editing, there is no question that the mac is better suited. The best way to describe it is "it just works". I was in a mac store this past week looking at a power book and playing around with the software. All I can say is it just makes sense. It is very intuitive and easy to learn. Plus they all come with cd/dvd burners included, and there are many add-ons that can just be plugged in and they instantly work. None of the PC hastles with getting the correct drivers/downloads/patches/etc. Also, the software (iMovie) comes with it when you buy it and will do just about anything that you want it to, right out of the box.

We are about to add a MAC around here for some design work. Tried a demo and loved it. I've been using PC's forever now, but for graphics and video, I don't think a mac can be beat.

Mac!, been through enough Windows machines to fill a dumpster & only 1 Mac. The basic Mac will cost far less and perform far better than a mid level Windows machine.I was a Windows user site adm and after being talked off throof switched for life.
