REally want to make the trek to Lucaya Thursday. All week theyve been calling south. Now we have north or even north east ... North against that stream I don't care how gentle usually bring it into bummer category especially since Lucaya is almost due east.
Deep Deckhand has a jewelry job that may hang him up and if it does, that leaves Friday... Friday is supposed to be 4-6' from the south little longer period from that direction but 6' in a 31 is still 6'...
We'll be fishing five or six days over there this trip and its 65 Mile runs to either place we intend to fish... Got the bean bags today and expect full well to have them about wore out by the time we get back. My ankles are already screaming and threatening to go on strike so I may get a pillow to stand on...

Deep, how would the ride be to Bimini in those conditions, leave early Friday am run to Bimini and drag em into Lucaya from Issacs, does that make sense, wouldn't it be on your A$$ that way once you got across the stream ? If it's blowin 20+ can you make it to your spots during the tourny ?

Deep, from the forecast I just looked at you better haul A$$ Thursday, 5-10 NW 2-4 in the stream, looks like it picks up Friday and then the fun begins

If we went friday...Its 71 quartering on the bow to issacs and fighting some tide. Then 32 troll back with it on the ass to Lucaya. Its 79 straight on the head fighting current all the way and 56 back to Lucaya if we went via bimini.

Its only 55 to West End with straight beam sea then like 24 to Lucaya kinda quartering into it. No current issues along that route.. Slight quartering straight line at about 71 if we go straight which will be the most likely...

I have four areas in mind maybe even five. My top two are 65 miles. One is just east of south. If it blows east west or north hard we can get there 32 miles open water on beam from east or west (on stern from north but tough love getting home) and another 32 in shallow water... If its screamin from the south we could possibly do it but would be tough. The number two area involves 24 miles to the north west along the beach and then north north east about 41 more over shallows to the area... Protected by the flats from the south wind when we get there...

Looked at the roster... We are the puniest boat in the fleet... Can't think of a better incentive to kick ass and take names...

Yes thursday looks better on paper but I hate that stream on any north quarter and that 2-4 call I wouldn't trust a bit... Plan is to haul boogie Thursday if Deep Deckhand makes it in time. Hell I might just leave him a note to jump a flight and I'll go it alone. Would be nofun to bust the boat before we even get there...

Goona be weird fising The "Bacardi" sober... Fished it some back in the eighties when it was at Bimini and did ok but man the hangovers were hell...

Deep, can you run through the waterway from West End to Lucaya, if you can that would make the last 25 or so quite pleasant after the first leg of the trip ? I know you can't use it during the tourny for fishin, just tryin to help you out a little here, and NO I'm not coming down and runnin the boat over for you so you can fly over so don't ask

The waterway is a few miles north of the Bell channel and quite a loop from the back side... Could if I had to but hugging the beach wouldn't be bad. Again its all out the window of worry if my Mate gets here when he's supposed to and we do go Thursday...

Not allowed to use the waterway in the tournament...

I think he does this crap on purpose. Window is small and he makes it smaller so I get to load on a quarter ton of crap all by self then he goes along for the ride like some passenger... Loaded quite a bit today. Will do another load in the morn then fuel up. Freezer might even get toted down by my little ol self if need be in the afternoon...

Got it from the director printed... They might have results on Port Lucayas site...

Got a hard on for a couple of the contestants for reasons outside of the tournament so I got my game face on if nothing else just to beat on their pride a bit...

Gotcha, keep your good eye on my boy Jason on the "Press Time" them boys have a way of gettin it done in the tournys, they can step up and make a showin, I might get a wild hair and show up down there, If I do I'll look you up, Good Luck!
