Here is the situation, we had a customer come in a while back and got some work done for his business, he was very picky but very satisfied with the work. He brought some more stuff in over Christmas to get done and wanted to bicker about pricing and got very outrate. He came back the next day and was 10 times worse, yelling and screaming at my wife while other customers were there. I walked in towards the end and told him that we were not going to be able to and not going to do business with someone who is going to act like that. By the way he had been to 3 different embroidery shops and none could get his logo to his specs. We got a summons today and he is sewing us for $15,000 for break of contract, which we dont have any contract with him, we have done a total of about $800 worth of work for him in the past year. We called our Lawyer and he said for the amount he is sewing for, his business being a LLC. a lawyer would have had to file the paperwork and he filed it himself. Our lawyer said that he is just messing with us but we will have to file some kind of form which will cost us about $400 which will be sent to him making him provide information on exactly what he is sewing for and have his attorney contact ours, and he said most likely he would drop the suit. Here is my big thing, if it goes to court we will have to close the store for the day, pay attorney fees and can not counter sew him for our loss of time and money spent doing this. so you can walk in to the court house and file paperwork to sew someone for no reason and waste there time and money, and there is nothing that you can do about it. Sorry about the longpost but this has me pissed off. Think I may call and invite him shark fishing. Got to love our legal system sometimes.
