Let's see if I have this right...

I see where the cat who killed the three people, including the pitcher for the Cardinals gets 51 years (DUI)...

and then there is:

Jim Leretz (sp) of the NY Yankees, who kills a lady (DUI) and gets probation, no time.
The black dude (football player), Donte Stallworth... DUI, kills someone and pays the family a few bucks and is back on the field playing.

Looks like our court system is working it's magic...

Personally, DUI and killing someone should carry a HEAVY fine, and time. Just my opinion.

I'm not pissed about the guy getting 51 years... I'm pissed that "celeb's" get nada. Even with legal precedent.

The whole system in messed up...not just celebs and govt. officials....this guy had 80 arrests and was still walking around on the street...wtf????

A Lake Worth man kept a woman's body in his bed for two days after she died during rough sex, then placed her decomposed remains in a barrel and disposed of it, police said Monday.
The barrel was found Oct. 26 in a car parked at a downtown Delray Beach lot.
On Monday David Muringer, 40, was charged with manslaughter in the death of Doris Lopez, 48, an unemployed West Palm Beach woman.
Muringer refused to appear for a scheduled court hearing Tuesday morning and will continue to be held without bond.
Police said Muringer confessed to choking Lopez during sex but said her death was an accident, according to the arrest report.
Muringer told police he and Lopez had been dating casually for a few months. He said he kept her body in his bed until he could figure out what to do with her remains.
"Muringer told us he had a cardboard barrel since childhood which he describes and goes on to say that he placed the victim's body in a plastic bag and then in the barrel," Delray Beach police Detective Jason Jabcuga wrote in the arrest report.
"He told us he sealed the barrel with duct tape, rolled the barrel out of his apartment and placed the barrel into the back seat of the victim's car."
Muringer recalled driving around for about four hours before deciding to leave Lopez's silver Kia in a Delray Beach city lot in the first block of southwest Sixth Avenue, police said.
Lauren Floyd, 35, of Delray Beach, was in the same lot the night of Oct. 26, waiting for her husband to grab some pizza from the Mellow Mushroom restaurant, when she noticed the barrel and called police. She reported it because she was concerned about the hundreds of flies buzzing around the silver car and the putrid smell coming from the vehicle.
Firefighters and police opened the barrel and found the remains.
They were identified as Lopez's days later through dental records.
Police might not have linked Muringer to the gruesome scene so soon, if at all, had it not been for a cell phone receipt they found inside the Kia.
That receipt had Muringer's name on it, and detectives spoke to him twice in November. At the time Muringer claimed that Lopez had been involved in a botched drug deal, the arrest report states.
Police talked to Muringer again last Thursday and Friday, and he eventually confessed to pressing his hand to Lopez's throat during sex until she lost consciousness, police said.
Muringer told detectives it was not the first time Lopez had lost consciousness during sex, but this last time angered him, and he pushed her off the bed.
Muringer said he got dressed and left his home. When he returned about an hour later, Lopez was still on the floor, and he realized she was dead, police said.
Muringer was scheduled to be taken from his home, where he was arrested, to the Palm Beach County Jail on Monday.
He has an extensive criminal record in Florida, with more than 80 arrests since 1995, including one on a charge of attempted murder. That arrest was in December 2005 in Palmetto, near Bradenton, but the charge was later dropped.
The details of that case were not available Monday.
In addition to manslaughter in Lopez's death, Muringer has been charged with unlawful disposal of human remains.
