May well have flown... I'm pretty sure it was Lauderdale that it originated from...

That sounds about right. I do remember Lauderdale being mentioned.

    Some pics

The remains are still up on the banks at Menemsha. Their final resting place. I believe these were the "stunt" boats (eg the one that sank in the end).

My favorite movie of all time. Nothing like taking some guys to the canyon overnight and playing Jaws in the VCR. Really freaked some guys out

That is Lynn Murphy's property. He usualy burns the boats on that spot.
Or at least he has burned 'em in the past. I don't know if he is still with us.
We call that spot Tuxedo Bass 'cause all you need is short boots to fish that spot. Not an easy place to get to w/out skiff.

    Harpoon gun

The harpoon gun used is a Greener. I think its made by US fire arms, it uses a 38 cal pistol shell. A friend of mine has one and carries it on his charter boat. Not many fish get away. Its a blast to fire it at a large fish that doesnt want to come the last 25 feet. Its always removed from the boat during a tournament just so there is no conflict. Ive really enjoyed the info you guys have posted, Thanks
