GREAT STORY...
Good story Frank, myself being a machinist and machine mechanic...I am pretty crafty and can afro engineer with the best of them. I work closely with a mechanical engineer on a daily basis and honestly at times I want to either beat him with a pipe wrench.....or beat myself with it just to make it stop.
I can appreciate the knowledge these people posess.....it is certainly beyond my education, the bottom line is that with all the math, all the calculations and drawings....every thing works out on paper, its when you try and apply what they put on paper.....and it does not work, that they rely on people that get their hands dirty for a living......and when we do make it work, its ALWAYS the same statement...."I would have never thought of that".
Since things are getting back to normal around here, this coming week I will take some pics and videos around work of the production machines I trouble shoot, make parts for and train our mechanics on. We process just shy of 4 million pounds of steel a month for the concrete industry.....Ill start a new thread and share a little of my world.....that is a little bit of what has been missing around here until John took the wheel again.
Went to the Post Office yesterday to mail a policy to a customer and on the way out was accosted (approached and spoken to without invitation) by a fellow in a three corner hat with tea bags dangling from each corner. He had a sign (what nutcase doesn't) and it said something about Obama being an illegal immigrant.
He asked, "Hey, friend, you believe Obama's an illegal immigrant don't you." I said, "No. I have an education. But thanks anyway,"

So....I guess what I can take from this is.......Sara Palin might be a good president........
I haven't heard that she's applied for the job yet. Frank
Forgot about that.......
