Now thats reassuring...
It's 200 mile an hour tape......should be JUST FINE.
Looks like India to me
It is actually called 600MPH tape and the airlines use it all the time to keep the schedule on time. It is made of aluminum and has some of the best adhesive ever invented. You mouldn't even know it was there if you didn't see them put it on unless you were within a few feet of it. Usually used to hold down loose fairings and the airplane would fly just fine if the fairing were not there but smooths out sharp edges such as the wing root ( where the wings are attached to the fuselage.) Not to worry, flying is safer than driving to the airport.
Andy,
Your name and location came up in another thread, can you let us know the proper pronunciation of Phuket?

You would be amazed at how a $10 roll of aluminum tape will fix a $40 million dollar airplane
