Old Scam Making the Rounds???

These sites are great... Had it not been for them Iwouldn't have been alerted to a scam that has been running for a few years. WHere the guy over pays by credit card. Then wants a partial refund back via check. Then the card turns out to be no good. Almost all seem to eminate from the UK... SOmeone tried to sting me years back with the scam. But I had been alerted and did a little shuffle back and lets just say... ruined their day. So this comes in the email today... Looks pretty much the same... I'm wondering what to do with it now... Have a little fun? Ignore it? Get Nasty? Let the police have it?

Have some fun!! It sucks that people do this kinda stuff, but if they wanna shove crap at you, shove it right back at 'em. I see it as an opportunity to get a few good laughs. The cops cant and wont do anything as of yet. He could just be a guy looking to do some fishing Get him in a tight spot, then show cops maybe?? Those kinds of e-mails will always come, so why get all uptight about it.

Sorry, didn't mean to imply that you were uptight....Just suggesting that it wont help at all if you are. Maybe send him a pic of you executing a sting from a reverse angle

Tell him there is a deposit of 4 times your total charter amount for charters booked outside the United States. Then tell him it will be refunded minus the day rates in cash when he shows up for the charter. I say we all go back to a cash or Western Union transfer only business.

Tell him to send a wire transfer to my checking account in NIGERIA. Then he can pay sopme Nigerian guy to smuggle the money back out.
