There is another thread running on here that I really can't recognize as being one from SFC. A man asked if someone would like to charter him for a tournament. Ok, we know that there has been some issues but Damnit this is SFC! If you want to fish with him great. If not there really is no excuse for the just plain nasty inuendos and the "Advertising" on another mans post is just plain out of line...
I remind members new and old that we're a non bashing place. Leave that shit for other sites...
Am I endorsing that team? No... In a zillion years I wouldn't agree with Younger on most any topic but he and others that tried to stem the venom and other forms of train wrecking, were on the right path... We need to keep the bashing out of threads. Slamming then promoting ones self in the same sentence is not befitting of the SFC family...
Promote away but do it in your own thread please.

Hell yea! There is a reason this is the ONLY site I will share my fishing reports and sometimes even the little bit of smarts that I've got. I've been turned off of some good sites because of the lack of decent people. I would just like to thank everyone, especially Admin & Jer, for providing a world of our own in which great knowledge can & is passed between great people WITHOUT all the bs.

I'm realatively new to the site and I say, "Here, Here"! There's been some BS going around and some individauls voicing their know-it-all opinions, but for the most part, everyone's been informative.

Here is my problem.
Capt John and George never spoke up after the raw footage came out.

Fact is John is caught bold face.

Now you have this crew who already said they will cheat to win and did cheat on this show.

I really think we are going to hear shit each and every tournament.
Imagine if these guys win an event, think of the questions.

I really as a fishermen want to see Capt John and George to step up and tell the truth. If my crew has to fish against them I personally believe they owe us as a community a answer.

Just my 2 cents.

It's all sad and yes I'm hiding my idenity as I love this site and dont want you all to hate me for speakin my mind.

Those videos have atleast been censored so there was some editing done to them. I am not saying he cheated or not. I WAS NOT ON THE BOAT WITH HIM AND I DON'T THINK THE FINGER POINTERS WERE EITHER SO WE NONE KNOW THE REAL TRUTH. Cinema can do anything to a video. I mean we have seen the magic box can work editing. Just think about what someone that is doing it for their sole source of income and have the millions of dollars worth of equipment working for them. There are not a whole lot of ways to cheat the big rock either. Between observers and having to weigh in the biggest fish and the scales don't lie.

This thread wasn't put here to debatte whether they did ior didn't. I think the raw footage spoke volumes but I'm not going to go there. This thread is about keeping the content of threads in line with what seperates this site from the other sites out there. We don't bash... Pure and simple. If its not constructive positive input we just don't put it here. Do we have to like what we saw or heard. Certainly not! Do we have to stay shut up about it... No there either. There have been threads dedicated and allowed to run regarding that debate. Lets keep those discussions there.
The self promotion after the slams just isn't right and I think that it does more damage to those that posted that way than to the other party...
This thread was meant to serve as a reminder to everyone that we can't have every thread they are involved with turned into unreadable trash. So let keep it that way, if nothing else as a token of respect to John, Jer and the rest of this great family...

if you question their sportsmanship, sit down and talk it over at dinner with them, call them on the phone. no one here is innocent in their entire life and i am sure would not like their laundry aired publicly whether it be dirty, or chlorox white with the rain fresh breeze. the good book teaches us to forgive and accept ones mistakes and welcome them into our hearts and minds as our fellow christian brothers. part of being a man is allowing yourself to let things go. i myself have forced myself recently to accept the mistakes and or dealings of a certain administrator of another website i used to frequent before i found SFC. i felt myself getting angry over things that really should not bother me nor were of any significance to myself directly. this person has done many shady dealings over the years and gotten over on other people and some of my friends in the name of charity, his business, and his website/ tv show. but in the end it never really affected me directly and i had to realize that pursuing this negativ e attitude towards him made me just
come down to his level.

if someone out there is doing wrong or being unjust, then let them deal with the consequences themselves as it will catch up to them eventually in time. besides it is their rep that is in danger, not yours, just theirs. i am not saying anything about the whole shark incident either way because it was not me that was involved, nor my boat, nor any of my money. i have made a few posts about this when it was all started back as the show aired and regret it as it was just not the right thing to do, i was simply jumping on the bandwagon and fueling the fire. I would like to apologize to the Olivia Grace guys for those statements i made, and hope you accept my apology.

With all due respect Paul - I think if admin wanted that thread to stop, it would have stopped and gone away. Chum and crew are big boys and they can take care of themselves. Hell admin even contributed mentioning Chum's desire for publicity, Good, bad or indifferent he continues to hav people talk about him and that is all he wants. Admin and jer have let it go on so why should stomp on their fun.

Yes they let it run... As well they should... They let virtually all threads run and run and run. Another thing that seperates us from the rest. Letting it run is policy but some of the stuff on there is just out of line. Start a fresh thread for crying out loud or rekindle an old one. This derailing every post they make though just brings the whole site down as a hole.
