I own a 35 side console and we are in the market for a new boat. I have looked at the 38 express and have seriously considered it. I am real pleased with the boat that I have and can attest to the fact the contender makes an awesome product. I have 100% confidence in taking this boat out in any and I mean any conditions. I have pushed it through 10' breaking shoals to rolling huge canyon swells. I haven't had a moment that I felt that we were in peril. My main problem is that this boat has been so reliable, fish raising and comfortable that I have a major hang up giving it up. I am at a point where I will be retrofitting a lot of stuff this winter and at the same time looking at new boats. I however would not consider a new boat unless it could keep up with the contender's speed, fishability, and seakeeping ability.

ditto every word. my 35 has done everything I have asked and more. I have had it out in some real crap and all passagers are always amazed. looking at 40ish expresses. don't want to be disapointed by the ride of a diesel inboard. keep coming back to the 38 as well. love the little second room too.
