Ok BOX here is what is going on with the Barta Tourney

I am not on to draw much attention but BOX has asked me to tell what all we have going on at the Barta Tournament as far as IT(computers) goes. Well we got the site moved last week to a brand new server due to some issues that I was wanting to make better. We have aquired 3 high end web cams from Visual Data/Red Eye Systems. Last year they gave us the cams with the enclosures and we will have shots from 3 differnt location. We will also be implementing Internet Radio so that those that can not be onsite can listen on their PCs. We try and continue to advance the technology and will continue to do so.
How did I get started doing this, well I met Cynthia (Tourney Director) at the Box's shop one day and she was telling what a time she had with her current web designer and having to pay them every time she needed to change or modify something, I spoke up and told her to start sending them to me and I would make the changes at no charge. Well I assisted her that year but after the tourney we began to develp a database driven site. Now she can change, add, delete and edit basically everything on the site, add new sponsors on the fly and even change the home page. She loves the way it works and she can even post catches and release as they are taking place. Well that is a little of what all we are doing for Barta Boys and Girls Club Tourney. I have never fished the tourney because I am always at the dock hlping with the IT needs and I can tell you I will stay on the dock anyday and do this because it is a BLAST just to be involved. Each year we try to improve and learn on the previous year and what else we can offer.

Good work, dolphin. I'm sure you'll do your part to make this an amazing event as always. Unfortunately no one did the round of 'sponsorship' calls this year. I have been a sponsor for the past two (first two) Barta tournaments, but Cynthia didn't call or email this year to see if I was up for it again. Maybe next year.
