    Oil cost solution....

OPEC sells thier oil at $136.00 per barrel. We sell OPEC Nations Grain <<~~( stuff that they need to eat well)... at $7.00 a bushel ...in other words our farmers bend over backwards for them!!! lets try to up the bushels to $100.00 ... maybe our farmers will be building a new barn for thier tractors instead of palaces for thier wives..... if they don't like the price just throw some oil in a pan and toss on a couple camel filets and see how they like it! It's all about the $ !!! We all need to understand we are Americans we are a proud nation still and without us the rest of the world still doesn't hit on all cylinders! seems this oil thing will not go away but we can make it better by just being fair with who we deal with and making some people rich ..'just because' doesn't set right with me...

Sorry to disagree---- it's arrogant attitudes such as this (the American right of entitlement) that are the root of many of our problems: socially and economically.
And sorry to bust your bubble, but it is not the Camel riders in Saudi Arabia that have established this $130+ oil, rather, it is your brothers in the financial markets of Wall Street, London, Hong Kong and Tokyo.

OPEC only sells the oil at the price that is traded on the futures markets. Do their profits increase? yes, do the oil companies profits increase ? Yes. Do they set the price? No.

BTW, the cost of grain is through the roof too.

We're not the only ones who produce food, and the Saudis have enough money to get what they want from wherever they need to. Charging them more for grain might make them laugh hard enough that they can't smoke their peace pipe for a while, but that's about all the effect it will have.

In fact, the Saudis have stated all along that the price of oil is about twice what it should be, and recently stated that the high price is not in their long term interest and they may try to increase supply to start the prices coming down by influencng the market. Doesn't sound like they are the problem.......

In the last several years, China has become a major bidder for oil and India is next in line to become another consumer that needs more of a dwindling supply of oil......aren't we glad we own boats and big trucks?

The price is just going to go up.

The problem with fuel prices isnt overseas. We have made this problem... It is idiotic at this point to be commenting on how it is anyone's but our own fault that oil prices are high.
They are all doing their job and producing fuel.

It is not their fault and the worldwide prices for food have already skyrocketed. In many countries the price of rice has gone up ten fold. If you would quit getting your info from foxnews and start getting it from a nonbiased international news source, you would know that the world is in an uproar right now because of dramtically increasing food prices, there are what can best be described as riots in places all over the globe over food and fuel prices, and millions of people are unable to afford food.

The Saud's and other oil producing countries are gonna be able to afford food no matter what the price is. Here's a good idea, lets make ourselves bigger assholes to the world than we already are by holding our food supply ransom to people who already couldnt afford food. Get a clue dude.

I'd say our biggest problem is our education system.
