    Unhappy Oh Crap!

    Watching the local news... Local windsurfer was gang munched by "numerous" sharks late today...
    We get a lot of attacks around here but usually just little ankle bite stuff. This guy did not make it...

    38 year old guy... Can't imagine... Go to beach doing his thing like he does a couple times a week. Never crosses minds of him or loved ones that he wasn't gonna make it home...

    You never know. When that wife or kid or you walk out the door take the extra few seconds for a hug and a proper goddy bye.

    Actually very down played... First fatal one in a while for this area... They did mention though that the beach will be back open tomorrow.

    We get a rash of blactip bites in October then again this time of year as sardines and pilchards start to show... They were saying that a life guard spotted him drifting way out clinging to a board. When they got to him the place was crawling with sharks. The guy said he had been bit bad. Guess he was right. Died on the way back to shore...
    I think about my daughter swimming or surfing off that same beach. Or her boyfriend spear fishing out there. How every day stuff can go so wrong so quick...

    Kind of like taking a stroll in a park and getting bit by a rattler.
