If the weather holds, I'm thinking that I will run to the JS saturday. Water temp is still a little cold, tho. Hell, if worse comes to worse, I can always hit a wreck on my way in.

    Will do, Bill.

Threshers should be in by now. I'd set up on some structure about 5-10 miles off.

Talked to Mark Hoos Jr. from the Marli who fished on the Playmate last week for Bluefish around the Jackspot and said it was REAL slow with not many fish around, he said another boat nearby caught three.

Still no sharks to speak of, but not many people are going fishing yet so its hard to get reliable reports. Best bet I'd say would be the tog on the wrecks, Russel's reef and Bass grounds have been pretty good.

Yeah, We're pulling the boat down to Cape Charles to either try for some big drum, or see if there are any sea bass on some of our secret wrecks down there.

Exactly...........look for them around the Bass Grounds. They love Sea Bass. Catch a few Sea Bass, set them back out on a shark rig and get ready for a tug-fest.

Any bass on the bass grounds? Seems the reports have been less than stellar. I think we may wait another week or so. Might just make the run to the CBBT for some drum action.

Word on the street is that Monty came in today with a haul of sea bass, a couple of three and four pounders too...
