126 boats registered. 103 fished today.
We will have up-dates. We just back it from fishing and weigh in are open. We will upload photos as they come . Right now they are about 10 deep at the scales.
As off now Drillin' & Billin' is in 1st place for stinger with 268 lbs and Reel Chaos is in 1st place for single biggest fish with 113lbs. But the are some big fish in line.
103 of 128 registered boats fished day one.
Notorious weighed the 1st fish of the day, a 54 lb BFT caught by Vin Gerrior.
At one point during weigh-in, there was a 3 boat and 5 wheelbarrow back-up at the scales. DJ Paulo and all the crew at the OC Fishing Center did a fantastic job. DJ Paulo did a great job of explaining everything the the newbies in the crowd and keeping everyone entertained.
1st dolphin large enough to be weighed for prize money was caught by Anthony Close of Team Parker. The mahi weighed in @ 34 lbs.
Next to weigh in was the 1st lady angler of the day. Kim Zeamer on Fin Chaser caught a 91 lb BFT. She is currently in first place even though minutes later, Laura Johnston on Third Wish also weighed in a 91 lb BFT. Since Kim was the first to weigh in, she is currently the leader in the lady angler category.
Next up was Peter Kane on Let It Ride, 1st junior angler. He weighed in a 47 lb BFT.
The Reel Chaos weighed in a whopping 113 lb BFT and is currently at the top of the leader board in heaviest fish.
Not sure who is on top of the leaderboard for stringer as they can also be weighed in at Sunset marina. I'll research and let post it up later.

Some chances to leaderboard.
Angler Logan Sappington aboard "Cyntinory" caught a 173 lb BFT. That's alot of sushi or tuna salad sandwiches.
Frank Sherman aboard "Billfisher" reeled in a 164 pound BFT.
SFC's own "Squidnation" weighed a 30 LB dolphin caught by Gunnar Zorn. Looked like they had a blast out on the water as a couple anglers had adopted the pirate style.
The crowd was really big at the scales. DJ Paulo again did a fantastic job keeping the crowd entertained and informed.
To top the evening off, the Miss Hawaiian Tropics Model Search took place in the tent at OC Fishing Center.
The OC Tuna Tournament was a blast. Got to meet a lot of new folks and see a whole lot of familiar faces. Took a lot of great pictures yesterday and last PM. Got back to Baltimore really really late last night. Will post up the pictures this evening.
