I might agree on the liberal part--- not the non-republican part. Parhaps it would be the better part of valor to give things more than a week and a half before we pass judgement on changes to our international demeanor and its effectiveness?

See, there's the problem Glenn. Poor international policy in the 90's beget a MAJOR problem in 2001. Do we really have months, years, a decade to wait to express our disdain for something we don't believe will work? Hell no. This isn't about allowing a few years for welfare reform, or social security reform, if that fails we start again....this is about foreign policy and how we will deal with the greatest threat there is to our safety and that is terrorism. The federal gov't's primary responsibility is to keep us safe and I'm dang sure going to express my opinion if I don't think we are headed in the right direction.

Poor international policy has been going on since the Revolutionary War, as I mentioned earlier in the thread, regardless of whose in office. Rather than not acting up and getting America involved, because when we come to town, we will own you, we have countries bickering or posturing, so we will throw money at them. Obama may want to "place nice" with his Arab buddies, but wait, they will be the first to stick something up his arse, guarantee you it's coming, and it will be from Arabs...no offense intended to the good ones....

American liberals don't love America. They despise it. All they love is their own "fantasy" of what America could become. They create disruptions hoping someone will write new policy. Obama will change the middle east statement.. Be real here. Now what could he possibly do other than foolishly recognize a hostile group as a state. Lets see this in the papers. I bet the media is working on a way to spoon feed the American public that this is the right thing to do. Some will flicker their eyes and say AWE. And some will want to pull his dyed hair out. And then the conservatives will just go about their merry way to church on Sunday and pray for the fools. Counting the days left in his term.

Save Hamas but vote against GWB going into Iraq and Liberate a country. Obama, the democratic party and the Liberal media painted a propaganda to the American people for 4 years. Now call a spade a spade.

I didn't even notice the sexual aspect of the insult. I just thought it insulting to my intelligence as are all your ad-hominem attacks on anyone who doesn't agree with you.

W/ respect to the Middle East, I think characterizing Obamas foreign policy as legitimizing Hamas is a bit over the top. The fact is that we pushed for the democratic election Hamas won and it is hypocritical to not recognize that. There is no doubt that Hamas supports terrorist activity sponsored by Iran. The question is how do you address this situation? Bush simply threw around ultimatums and empty threats (while Iran knew we would not invade). It appears that Obama's policy will be 'smart power' which is diplomacy backed with military power in the event that parties do not live up to their obligations. So basically, Israel and Palestine have to agree to some mutual terms and be held accountable. Rationally, the two state solution makes a lot of sense, however it is going to take a lot of diplomacy to put that back on the table. I don't think anyone seriously sees one-state solution working nor the status quo working. The ONLY other alternative is for one side to wipe out the other completely (the current path we are on).

So anyway, we agree to disagree, and I will continue backspacing to avoid taking shots at you and just try to focus on the content.
