    NYS roads..what a joke

The wife's aunt died, and the wife is 8 months with our new little zoomer, so when i inquired about airline tickets my TA said kara'a boarding was totally up to the boarding agent, and even if i had a letter from her doctor..as to not potentially waste 2K,we decided to drive..from ocean isle NC to Somers Ct. its a 16 hr drive....so we pack up the Denali XL and head off, stopped in Laurel MD for the night, leave early next day, from the NJ turnpike to 87 its a breeze..return trip, we stopped in Rumsen NJ, but to get there we went hutch to cross county to GW..holy shit, the roads are terrible, hit a gator on the hutch, then right into a pothole the size of R.I., then the approach onto the GW looks like Baghdad, long story short..truck vibrating at high speeds..stopped in a Goodyear station..asked him to put it up on the lift and check everything..4 inch gash on my NEW Dunlop Larados, front end way out of align...shit. NY cost me $585.00..gonna send the bill to NY DOT...what the hell is NY spending there money on ??it aint the roads..

The roads are terrible up there. When I drove my hummer through there it seemed they put storm drains in the lane where my tires would hit instead of on the side of the road.

Welcome to New York! The F#@K You State! Where the state bird is actually "The Bird".

How much did you pay to cross the GWB? Last time I actually paid cash at a toll both I tried to explain to the toll collector "I just want to drive over it.... not buy it.

You ain't kidding, you can tell by the seat of your pants when you hit the NY line. Roads turn to absolute crap. The saddest part is when you think of the money that they take in, I'm talking millions of dollars a day, they steal so much of it that there's nothing left to buy a few pounds of asphalt to fill the potholes.
IE8 says this may be a phishing site....Well, DUH!!!!!!... Stupid jerks can't even spell fishing right.

Sorry to hear about your awful trip - you just added to my reasons for NEVER taking the GW when I head to New England... As long as I'm in the vehicle, I don't travel across the GW. Tappan Zee has always been good to me.
