We caught this bugger striper fishing at the Isle of Shoals in Maine.

I hate PETA! I don't support animal cruelty, but I don't support PETA either. I am happy the lobster is free and everyone happy, but i just can't stand PETA!

I think I caught that twenty-pounder yesterday. It was good eating. I had to grill it because it wouldn't fit in a kettle.

Maximum legal size for a lobster caught in Maine is about five pounds, which is a five-inch carapace length. Currently, the feds are working on a seven inch maximum size. This will be the first maximum size restriction for the offshore fleet.

PETA - that's the acronym for: People that Eat Tasty Animals isn't it ??

There was a story a few years ago. (Can't confirm authenticity.)

PETA-type rock star in Maine to perform a concert, bought 500 lbs. of live lobsters, then ceremoniously took them down to the harbor to set free.

Old-timer later asked, "Did ya take the rubber bands off their claws, so's they could eat, and survive?"

    "Huh?"

Good point, at least when you catch them again they'll be ready to go.......
