A high speed metal cutting wheel and a torch should do the trick. Had to do that last month. Everything was rusted together from the lugnuts to spring bolts. Had to cut everything off and replace with new.

I hope I don't have to cut it. I don't think it would make a difference really, it's stuck to the inside of the torsion arm. Even if I cut the end off, I'd still have to punch it out.

    Appreciate the suggestion though.

Off to try the MAPP gas now!

After talking to my trailer guy, worried that you will not get your new spindle back in and true to square. He said if you the kind that unscrewed, your in there but otherwise, he said that if it were his, new axel is in order...

Thanks Lee. Yes, it's the kind that screws in through the torsion arm. Pretty sure, by design, it has to go in square.

Thanks again for checking with your trailer guy. I'm ordering the new parts now.

Thanks again all for the help!!

Yeah, it would be more fun but it would be pretty detrimental to my boat.
Plus, I don't think my insurance covers owner-applied explosive damage.

If I didn't have a huge to do list for the wife and lived closer, I'd come help you out. I am pretty much off this week as we're between classes.

    Maybe next time!
