Not many fish, but fun nonetheless

A little late getting this posted, but as normal, I can't leave home without coming back to some chaos... LOL

IC4M and I had some fun while in Key largo the last week in June. It was his first time to the Keys, and I always enjoy showing a "newbie" around. (Throw in your own blind leading the blind joke here.)

It was hot and humid, not unexpected. (I'm blind, not stupid.) But, it may have been a bit more than IC was ready for. (Hey, I give the guy credit, he is a senior citizen....). He hung in there though.

Our charter wasn't great, we put some gaffer Dolphin in the box, a football Blackfin and some Mutton. Had a Marlin in the spread for a minute. So, I think IC enjoyed the show despite the heat.

I think he enjoyed the fact that we were abel to just walk to the water and drop the kayak EVERY day and night as we felt like it. (Though some nights the bugs were biting more than the fish) We had some fun playing with the little fish, Cudas, Snapper, Trout etc.

I do wish I could have seen one sight though. It was when we were doing a bit of the "tourist" thing... That is, I would have loved to have seen the look on the 72 year old IC4M's face when he got done para sailing. I think he had a hoot up there on the end of the 1000 foot of rope, at least it sounded that way when he reported back to where I was sitting enjouning a cold one.

For those of you that wondered how we did, that's the basics of our trip. We ate well, drank as best we could, fished, and enjoyed. I don't think it will be hard to convince IC4M to see for me in the Keys come this winter should the chance present itself.LOL

Sounds just right for a vacation Mr Wave. Glad your yak partner and you had a good time at Key Largo. Very impressed that IC4M tried para sailing. I would be horrified!
Good to have you back on line.

Not enough beer in the world to get me to para sail, so I gotta hand it to the old fart for doing it. The only bad part is that I told him he was supposed to eye ball some prime fishing spots for us, but I guess he had other things on his mind while he was up there. (Like gravity, and the law therein. LOL)

    Fifth try at this

Putting photos here is not easy. Let's see if I did it right this time.
Wave doesn't know about this but here are a couple of pictures of Wave and the fish. I also added two pictures of me parasailing. Feel free to make comments. You should have heard what my kids have been telling me. You would think I did something dangerous, like sky diving.
YES!! success. The pictures made it.

What a pleasure it is to read about your trip guys. Wave- when it comes to the pointy fish, have you ever been able to drop a bait back to one that's in the spread? Considering all of the things that you have accomplished, I wouldn't at all be surprised to find out that you've mastered that skill as well. Thanks again for sharing your adventures with us.

Great I don't know what these pictures are of..... Seems as though I'm going to have to cook up some sort of rigging for the bac seat of my kayak.... Like an ejector seat!
