    PS
You are the one arguing against the arguer rather than the material brought to light... That good sir would place your post as the one that is ad hominum...

Now were it that my structural prose was incomprehensible then it could be said that I am guilty of Scriptus Fecesius (Shitty writing)... Were I blasting the north for no reason except to blast them I could be seen as guily of Slamus Masses... I sir am guilty of Carpe Isurus (Seize the Mako) and when that is interfered with by Forcastus Incompetus I get Bungus Redus...

I'm with DEEP. Navigating around all those Mercedes Benz's can't be easy. And those forecasts off Palm Beach can be tricky

I live on the Outer Banks of NC. Years ago, there was a hurricane coming close, but they weren't really sure where it was going to go. 6pm forecast for the next day, the local weatherman said the winds for the next day would be "20 to 100 miles per hour". With a spread like that you will most likely get the forecast right!

[QUOTE=Fishin-N-Wishin;379185]jwalker, you may want to check your typos when criticizing typos
Damnmit.... I hete whenn thet happans
90% done tongue in cheek and 10% sticking up for the boys up North, especially when C is originally one of them
Plenty of them still banging it out in all kinds of conditions up there year round, most aren't the internet type Not all on the wall in Gloucester just yet.

greenmachine, 100% right. An old cracker friend of mine once said "There's two types of people who predict the weather, fools and yankees BTW, I love you guys up North. You talk funny too

OUTCAST, The reason we live in the "United States of America" as each state has it's own governing body/rights. Here in FLA it's 9 nm for state water regs. Then fed regs kick in beyond 9 nm. So I (at present bags) could keep 5 aggregate grouper but beyond in fed waters its 3. Unless I'm high on African dust, that's how we play.

It's 9 nm on the Gulf of Mexico in FLA, still 3 nm on Atlantic side.

    Interesting legal story to that.

Yes............that would be me. Lost a great, great, great uncle on my Dads Moms Cousins Dads side. Still reeling from that one.

You know he was working on this product called Instant GRITS, but some Darn Yankee stole the recipe out his pocket at Gettysburg. I'd probably be a billionaire today if that had not happened.

My boat is a 28 Albemarle and is a roller. Sword trips I pull the plug regularly for anything but prime condition. My first obligation is to not hurt people and swording on that boat can hurt em when its anything other than dead calm. Trolling I set a 6' or 20 knot sustained window and if its over I pull the plug. I don't recall which of the weather cancells you were but if I pulled the plug those would have been the parameters that were exceeded.
That data wouldn't be from forecast It would be from inlet guages and local buoys and actual inlet cameras...
I'm all about safety first. I also will pull the plug when fishing conditions are not conducive to a good catch. I'm not one to take people out just for a paycheck when the bite promises to be off.
As for the Semana, I'm not familiar with her or what design she is... There are a few down easter style slow boats up there designed to drift. There are a few go fasts that can do quite well in the coinditions we have there. Then you have the bigger boats that just plain have the size and arse to deal with it. Which category did that boat fall into?
I run island side 30 days straight come hell and high wind because we are trolling and my boat can do that well. Live bait or drift though and its a much smaller window... Thats why I don't even consider bringing her north for shark drifting.
