As far as to divide, I think that things are good as is. It helps to be able see what techniques and baits others are using in other waters and apply them here. For me this site has helped me grow my knowledge tremendously with the help of all from all over the east coast...
ANY CHANCE OF THIS HAPPENING???????????????????????????????????????????
Another vote for a NE forum
I think a Northeast or New England forum would be a excellent idea. It would help out on info and fish movements..
Northeast forum would be nasty. Hope it all comes together
Well, I may be a bit of a rebel here, but I'd leave it as is. I was actually drawn to this site because it was a world wide fishing forum, and less so region specific.
There are already a couple of region specific websites that cater to new england fisherman with zones specific to NH/ME, MA, CT/RI - FFSW for one which many of your new england members at SFC co-populate.
What they are light on is Mid Atlantic & south which is what this site is great at.
If you were to create a sub forum, I do think that North East or New England is way too generic if information sharing is the goal. What happens on the cape/islands is generally a month or so different than what happens in Maine. It's like another time zone. I'd also guess canyon Fishing off NY/NJ is a don't care for a guy from NH/ME.
If you chose to break it up, you might as well just re-name the Offshore forum to Mid Atlanic & south.
Lastly, I think there will be VERRRY little newenglanders sharing their tuna Successes once the bite is on. Its the nature of the fishery to be tight lipped.
I may just be adverse to change...
