No Such Thing as Little Problems

When it comes to a boat... I know boats and how they are. They don't run forever and stuff is supposed to break. I've been complaining about lack of charters. First for the obvious reason of income but a second reson is in there too. If something is gonna break I would rather it happen now than during the island trip.
Well I got my wish... Sheared a bolt under the alternator... No biggie? Well that little thing isn't so little. That allowed the front end of my engine to do a lot of shaking. That in turn set up some near hose failures. Now don't go feeling sorry for me... Thats boating and a blessing in disguise. Now I know what lines were questionable and can get it fixed rather than have something blow apart while underway and wreck a trip...
Next time you break something try to look past just the broken thing. What caused it? and What else did its breaking weaken or compromise too. There is no such thing as a small problem. So thats Deep's words of wisdom for the day...

    Very True Deep, Very True!!

There is usually more than one issue with a repair. Hopefully you will get the bugs out before your big trips!

Funny as it sounds I'm almost trying to break stuff so I can get some idea of what all needs attention before it does break... When those worn hoses come out I can get a better look at two oil lines that worry me and they might get the change as long as I have her kind of apart...
