THEN , WITH EXPECTATION OF FAIR SEAS, LIGHT AND SLIGHT,......MOTHER NATURE SOMETIMES COMES CALLING.......THAT'S RIGHT. SHE STEPS IN AND SAYS NO NO NO NOOOO! NOT TODAY GUYS.......

I HAVE LEARNED WHEN THIS HAPPENS , IT'S NOT MY RIGHT TO QUESTION WHY......WHY DID THE WEATHER MAN MISSED THE CALL SO BADLY?

TRUST ME.......THE GANG AT THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE THRIVE ON MAKING THE RIGHT CALL!!!!!
LET'S LOOK BACK IN THE THE 1950'S...........WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IN 1950 IF KATRINA HAD HIT OUR SOUTHEAST COAST WITH THAT TECHNOLOGY OF THAT PARTICULAR PERIOD OF TIME?......THATS RIGHT.....50 TIMES MORE LOSS OF LIVES THAN TODAY! THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS MADE MONUMENTAL STRIVES IN FORECASTING ALONG WITH TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES SINCE THEN.......HOW DO THEY DO WHAT THEY DO DAZZLES ME !!!!!!!.....AND I TIP MY RIGGERS TO THEM!!

MORE TIMES THAN NOT THEY ARE RIGHT ON THE MONEY AND I PERSONALLY APPLAUDE THEM......PREDICTING WEATHER IS MUCH LIKE A FISHING TOURNAMENT......WE ALL WANT TO WIN!!!! WELL THE METEROLOGISTS ACROSS THE GLOBE ARE NO DIFFERENT!!! THEY TOO WANT TO WIN !!!.....

SO , THE NEXT TIME YA GET BLOWN OUT, INCLUDING MYSELF, ....SAY...."THERE MUST BE A GOOD REASON" , CAUSE THE BIG GUY IN THE SKY MAKES THIS CALL!!

Oh I cuss and fuss like the rest of us when the weather man misses his mark-However, I don't know squat about the science of meteorology, but find it facinating. Recently I was watching one of my "stupid" tv channels as SWMBO calls them (Discovery, TLC, History Channel, etc.) and they did a show on how very recent advances in computer technology coupled with better modeling of the dynamic physics of weather has greatly improved weather forecasting in just the last 10 years. In fact, THE largest and fastest computer in the world is owned and operated by the NWS. There are a bunch of real smart cookies out there working every day to get this forecasting science even better. Weather is surely a logorithmic learning curve for science, and it seems we are finally getting well up on the curve.

box i know i told you the story was great but now i went and tried it. so now i know the seas are 25ft and gust over 60mph at the BB bouyand the fish are there. hmm i don't know if i like it anymore
