    NJ BlueFishing

Went Trolling for Blue Fish at the Atlantic City Reef and Triple lumps. I used spoons and diamonds and 2 squid lures. When I got to Triple Lumps I put the line in and within 1 second I had a fish on but wasnt sure so I just let the line out and set the drag with the fish on so after two hours of trolling I reeled him in. He was the only fish I got about 15". Then at Atlantic city reef I hooked one small blue but it got away due to a inexperinced netter. Anyway does anyone when the blue fish are going to becoming more inshroeto these two areas because i hear the blues are out at like Bargnet Ridge. Also how is the AC ridge?

Have not heard of much from the ac ridge but its bound to heat up some time soon, you have a definite bid at some schoolie bft a few big wahoo were caught there last year...hopefully they show up again, the occasional billfish has been known to show up on the right conditions. When the bait is there its a great piece of structure to cover, theres only one way to find out ....let us know how you do.

What should I use for the tuna and wahoo at the ridge? First time for tuna. I really have no tuna rigs at all. Should I use a couple of single squid lures and some diamond and spoon lures? Should I invest in some spreader bars? What size reels and test? I have a 50lb test rod with 30lb line and a steel leader. Also how long are tuna going to be hanging around the ridge? For the next 2-4 weeks?
