A friend of mine and I rigged up our jet skis with a cooler and rod holders on the back to go out to Bear inlet to surf cast. On low tide it is impossible to get out to the inlet in a boat so we used our jet skis and no problem. We met some friends coming back down the cut and they said that it was to shallow to get to the inlet. They had laughed about our jet ski idea but today they hitched a ride with us. We were able to get thru all the sand bars and get to the inlet. We anchored the skis in the ocean by a huge sand bar and fished for an hour and a half. We didn't catch anything today but they had killed them yesterday. Yesterday they caught 15 to 20 reds each in the 25 inch range. Of course in NC you can only keep one and he has to be between 18 and 27 inches. They are sure fun to catch though. I'll take some pictures of our set up next time and post a story on our trip. David
