New License Renewal Record

I was told to start getting my stuff together 6 months ahead of time to get my renewal straight for my near coastal. Heard that the turn around was 5-7 months. Licensed expired on March 3rd, I showed up a 1/2 hr before closing in baltimore on march 3rd. My new license ssue date is March 16th. I guess there's not much going on up there.

On another note, I have a good friend who turned in his initial paperowork a month back and got denied. He had a skin cancer going back several years that is now gone. Denied for medical reasons, yet the canver is completely gone. What does that have to do with opperating a boat. He is probably more healthy than 90% of applicants now.

If so, perhaps a cheap flight into Boston's Logan airport (go to the Boston CG HQ's & get it done....(from the reports from a few of my buddies) you'd be in & out in an hour.....

Your license expired 3/3/09? or are you into the grace period of 1 year after the Expiration date. If its expired I do not think your license is valid to run a boat, but you can still renew it. Relax the USCG is there to help ya!!!!
It may take some time and as long as all odf your paperwork is perfect you will get it. Nickky got his ticket in 4-6 weeks last year.
