    New LED Nav Lights

When I was down at the Pirates Cove Tourney I noticed that some of the new batlewagons had new style LED nav lights that were mounted in the top corners of the hard top.

Anyone know where I can procure a set of these?

If you are installing port and stbd running lights on a hardtop, replacing lights that are currently lower, you may have to raise your masthead/allaround light to meet vertical separation requirements, i.e. one (1) meter minimum vertical separation.

I have seen some new boats with the LED nav lights beautifully mounted into molded recesses in the hardtop, and then the allaround light is on a really long, ugly stick up above the hardtop...

    Guys-

First let me apologize for putting this thread out there and becoming invisible.....work has me going crazy here lately.

Fishskipper- I went to the orcagreen.com site and they do not have the style I'm looking for. The style I'm looking for is about 8-10 inches long and 1-2 inches tall and are mounted on the front corners of the hard top on sportfish type boats.

Ocnslr- Thanks for the reminder. My allround nav light is currently integrally mounted on my satellite TV mount on one of those "sticks". I believe it meets the separation criteria, but I'll check it to be sure.

JD I surveyed a boat today that had them. They built into the hard top when the hardtop is layed up the wire troff is in laid. I would imigin it would be a pain in the but to put them in after. You would have to router out the hard top and then re fiberglass.

    Hey JD

There was a top builder down here that was putting them in his hardtops ...Real nice stuff.... Probably just like you saw ( I'll look for the pictures I thought I had). They are recessed in the tops corner edges and when the lights are off all you see is a thin lens in the factory edge of the top. At that you only see it if you are looking for them. Wires are run through pre- molded chases.

I looked into putting them in my existing T-top... but, like pitch bait said, I would have had to put in external wire chases, I personally want no part of that. The lights I saw and wanted needed to be built in during fabrication to get the clean stealth look. They have wire chases pre-formed into the top to run and hide wires etc ...

With $$$ anything is possible and I’m sure it could be done … but in my case it would be cheaper to buy a new hard top

    JD,
Im building a boat as we speak with Ritchie Howell in NC. When we laid out the hard top the wire chases for the electric teaser reels, running lights,as well as radar and the chases for the teaser reel lines to run through are all done prior to the top skin of fibergalss is put on.
