    FL New Guy

    Hello,

I am new to this site. Just stumbled upon it. I am a relative newby to fishing, and certainly not a "die hard" fisherman. I fish out of Pompano Beach, FL and have (you guessed it) a 23' BW Outrage. I took time off from fishing for a while because we had children, but now that they're getting older (2 and 4), life is easier, I can do things, and they actually fish with me sometimes. Here to learn and be a sponge and help out when I can. Thanks.

In the brief month I've been around here, it's been easy to see that this is a great place to learn, and give back as well. There's so much to learn, and so many willing to share. It's a pretty cool thing we've stumbled upon. Good luck and enjoy!

Welcome aboard outraged. Taking the kids fishing young is the way to go.
What year is your 23? I had a 99 until recently, which is now owned by Indasan who is also on this site.

Thanks for the warm reception. Looks like I'm gonna like it 'round here. My boat is a 2000. I bought it in 2001 from a guy who used it for vacation, probably had less than 20 hours when I got it. It has way more than that now!

I took it over to Ft. Myers / Sanibel Island a few weeks ago to do some boating and light fishing (not light tackle, just light fishing) and I left it there for some work to be done and in the hopes that I would be back to fish again, and partly because I despise trailering the boat with kids in the car. It's white knuckle driving all the way, even without my little hellians in the back. However, I really, really, really, miss having her in the backyard and being able to fish within 25 minutes on a whim. So, I think I am going to blow off tomorrow morning and take the 2 hour trip to bring her home.

What do you have now SeaBiscuit? Do you miss the Whaler?
