New Feature: FISHING REPORTS system. Get more exposure to your fishing reports!

We just put live a new system to get the fishing reports that you post here on the forums on different sections of SportFishermen.com

Charter Boat captains and fishing guides will enjoy the free extra exposure to their reports. Recreational fishermen will also have the opportunity to share their catch with more people and get more comments (replies) to their threads.

It's very easy to get your report listed on the SportFishermen.com sections.

We added a drop down select box on the "post a thread" page.
If you are posting a report, select the state or country.
If your post is about anything else, just don't select anything and just type the title of your thread and message like you are used to.



Fishing reports are listed on the front page ...



also in the regional sections for "targeted views" ...



There are links to the fishing reports archives in several pages of the sites, including the menu of the regional sections ...



... if you click that you will see a page like this. The fishing reports archive pages and regional sections also get visitors directly from search engines like Google and Yahoo!



you will see a list of all the fishing reports posted for that state/country/region. It doesn't matter if the report was posted in the regional forums, Big Game Fishing Forum, Deep Jigging, WAHOONBOX, Melton Tackle Big Game Forum ... all reports are grouped in those pages.



when you click a fishing report, you will see a page like this with the first few lines of the report and an image linked to the original thread posted here in the forums

Very nice, huh?



Also if you are browsing the forums, you will see links like this one at the bottom of the fishing report threads.

If you click the link you will see a list of fishing reports for that state/country/region:



Notice how the reports posted in different forums are all grouped. This will help you to find recent reports for your area

Great new feature Jer. As the site grows so does the diversity of the content. Being able to "tease" out the current fishing reports is a nice tool.

Can the fishing report designation be given to a thread after it has been created? Do you plan to do some of that?
