NEW: Create your Blog, Groups and Photo Albums on Sportfishermen.com!
We got several updates and upgrades done yesterday and we are working on new "features" for the site.
Groups
Now you can create groups to be in contact with people who have the same interests as you. I'm into Surf Fishing and Kite Fishing (from the beach), so I created these groups a few minutes ago looking forward to meet other Sportfishermen.com members who enjoy doing the same and hopefully learn a new thing or 10 from them since I'm a newbie

Also I added a few groups to give you guys ideas on what you can do with this new section: Chesapeake Bay, Dalaware Bay, Deep Jigging, Deep Dropping, Party Boat Fishing. Feel free to create your group and invite other fishing friends to join and talk about fishing in your area or about the type of fishing you enjoy the most.

Blogs
The Sportfishermen.com Blog makes it simple for members to create their own space within the community. Getting started is as simple as posting the first message (using the same familiar editor you use to post on the forums). There is no lengthy setup process - blog owners are free to personalise their blog at any time by defining a title and a description that will appear at the top of every blog post.
It is a feature-rich blog application, with support for fully formatted posts, attachments, comments, draft posts and categories. Member blogs are integrated with the Sportfishermen.com profile system – profile information is displayed alongside blog posts, and existing profile pages are enhanced with information about blog activity.
The Blog Control Panel empowers members to control every aspect of their blogs, from permission controls (who has access to view and comment on the blog), to full management of blog categories, draft posts and subscriptions. Blog owners also have the ability to moderate comments on their own blog.
Admin created a blog to test our new blog system, and you can find his blog at

Photo Albums
You can now create photo albums that you can share with friends, family and other Sportfishermen.com members. The alb ums will be displayed on your profile page. Admin didn't waste time and created an album with pictures of his family bass fishing in a recent trip to Disney World.
You can view his family album at http://www.sportfishermen.com/board/...ms-family.html
It's displayed in his profile page

You can create an album for pictures of your boat, an album for pictures of your canyon fishing trips, an album for pictures of plates of seafood you caught and cooked
, an album for pictures of your tackle... I know I'm going to take pictures of my kite fishing setup in my next "fishing trip" and create an album
Actually what I'm really looking forward to is to create an album of all the saltwater catfish I'll catch
