Try Whink. it's in a little brown plastic bottle you can buy at the grocery store for getting rust out of clothes. Works like a charm on most things but not sure if it will eat up the vinyl. Good luck
Try barkeepers friend, or liquid sander (not stripper, but sander, comes in gallon jugs)
Barkeepers friend is available in the cleanser section of Walmart.
There is a cleaner for rigid inflatables which works great on vinyl.
I forget the name, but I will stop by the marina tomorrow and take a look.
for rust try snow bowl or muratic acid, don't leave it on long, it will work. Anything else like mildew use arm and hammer magic erasers, the ARE majic!

Muriatic Acid!!.....are you sure??? I use a diluted muriatic acid to etch concrete and clean out my raw water cooling system..... and it's diluted 50/50....I've never tried it on vinyl, but I would think that muriatic acid is a little strong for that application......
It takes rust off immediately, just a little dab will do! Its the major ingrediant in clr rust remover. Just a capful and then wipe and rinse. It works, I promise.

thanks guys, I'll let you know what happens.
CLR should work and shouldnt hurt the vinyl either I dont think, I have used it to take the stains out of Pintail and snowgoose feathers during the mouting process and it don't eat the feathers so I think vinyl will be ok
I'm confused do you want to put em on or takem off?????
