Need Help on Still Photography

The new boat is 5 days from final delivery it has been 6 months since I have fished and I am loosing my mind. But on a serious note, I want to get a better still digital camera that can capture fast action. Can anyone make suggestions. Needs to be easy to operate. Price not important if its the right gear.The boat has 4 video cameras but I want some good digital photos of the bills in the air.

whatever pino and glennw are using jim is the way to go, i think its a nikon, no sure of the model

I have the D50. But the 40 and the 80 are great cameras as well. I like Nikon because it is pretty much plug and play.

Sorry had to call Mary to learn how to post photos. The ride down to fla from AC was a bit cold in february with no protection but she will be done and fishing on Saturday. The folks at Viking and AME did a great on her.

Thanks the pictures are sharp, pretty shot of your boat at sunset. can you just hold the trigger and get action shots on those units?

JMier, yes it will as wel las a small movie, If you are looking to shoot a fish jumping this will do it. I shoot a lot of birds as well, here is a set of a Great Blue Herrion getting a bait off the surface and leaving...

Thanks, thats exactly what I am looking for so the Nikon D70 or D80 seems to be the one. I will start looking now.
