Need help with 4th grade project

Ok here is my daughters 4th grade project she picked because of daddy's love for fishing. I have to make a 3d great white shark. You noticed I said I have to. Any suggestions on what type of material to use, that a 10 year old could assist with? I thought about getting a block of foam and letting her widdle away but I am not sure how that would work. I thought about wood but then I would be doing 90% of it because I just cant see her using a table saw and router. Well I am going to the store tomorrow to get supplies, what supplies? I am not sure so if you have any suggestions please let me know. Its pretty bad when you stress over a 4th grade project.

Usually the best way with childrens projects such as that is paper machet'

Don't think I spelled it right.

Some newspaper. Flour or plaster of paris mixed with water and voila.

    Safe and easy.

Paper mache would seem to fit the bill here- buy an inflatable shark from Wally world, bend some coat hangers around it, and then cover the coat hangers in paper mache. Just make sure you put a tape recorder inside of it with the Jaws theme...

Had to help with a couple of these, we used Green florist foam (what is used for flower arrangements) it can be picked up at any hobby store or florist. It is denser and easier to shape than the white foam. Small peices can be glued up and shaped, just don't use petro. based adhesive as it will melt foam.

Clothesline wire and paper mache. The clothesline wire is easy to bend and will retain it's shape.
Hot water and flour to make the mix. Spray paint the thing when done. Be prepared for a mess! It is a lot of fun for the kids though.
